Achilles: I think he would be frantic and fun and energetic as a parent.  He wouldn’t know how to deal with children and they would get into little snark fights and both would start pouting and would make Patroclus decide who wins.  But he’d also be the best parent because he and his kids would have so much fun.  He’s like a grown up kid and he would be running around and playing and dressing up dolls and playing catch.  But he’d also be super insecure because is he doing the best he can but is it enough???  He just wants to be a good daddy.  And then if the kid got hurt, he wouldn’t know what to do and he’d just be frantic and “Patroclus what do I do???!!???”

Patroclus: He would be the calmer of them.  He would be smooth-headed in the face of injuries.  Also, in the face of tears, he would hug for hours and soothe and make hot chocolate and wipe away tears.  He’s the best soother in the world.  But he’d be a little worried about if he’s liked because Achilles and the kid are always laughing and playing and the kid never seems to want to hang out with him??? Even though he’s so so so loved by both Achilles and his kids, he’d still be worried all the time.  He just wants everyone to be the happiest they can ever be.

Patroclus would have to be the parent to lay down the law about things and the first time he would have to tell his kid they couldn’t do something
but the kids would go to him for advice

Achilles would have to take a moment because wait that’s Patroclus
Achilles would be like “lol fuck this let’s have ice cream for dinner ur dad isn’t home” every night Patroclus wasn’t there and would let them do whatever bc he’s ~cool~ and he has a reputation to keep up (a reputation i tell u)
