           Do you not see your own worth, child?

                         ( It was common to see mortals with a lack of confidence ;
                           as time went on, they eventually came to hate themselves
                           due to a concept she would never understand. The new
                           age only allowed the ideas to grow further, to where they
                           thought the world was against them. It was sad, really, to
                           see one doubt their own unique abilities when they couldn’t
                           realize the beauty in it themselves. )

          But you’re welcome. Your fighting skills deserve
             to be honored. You can do far more than I or my
             family can — besides our own warriors.

Achilles shook his head a little. It was not that he hated himself, nor that he was lacking in self-confidence for he was well known to be the best fighter of his generation, born to take on the greatest nd strongest of his time, but he was born to destroy them, to kill them.

      His lips turned up in a small smile. No. It was none of those things. Her words, though misguided–for there was no doubt in his mind that he could take on ten of her best and at once–were supposed to be complimentary.

     ‘I also know how to do other things. Fighting is not all I do.’

         “— I speak the truth when I say you spike my curiosity.

                         ( It was rare to get such a response out of the
                           Titaness, & she laughed at the thought, digits
                           pawing at soft silk with a brow raised. )

‘I don’t see why,’ he replies,

     it’s not as if he’s anything special, not really, he’s a fine specimen of a fine man, but he’s not particularly interesting, or curious, he thinks. He’s a great warrior–if the term was even still applicable–good at fighting, good at most things, not really bad at anything that didn’t require very specific skill (such as medicine, it wasn’t a strong point).
